Saturday 4th November 1933
It was a sunny morning and all of yesterdays’ little disappointments seemed to be straightened out. Digs. Arranged to leave 2/- until Monday, when my allowance is due. That gives me sufficient for the ramble tomorrow, though not enough for train fares. So I shall walk to Windsor in the morning and meet them at the station. Hope I recognise the club! They are all strangers to me. Received notes of the Old Daventrian Society of which I am now a member. Thrilling to read the familiar names.
Evening. A casual, fruitless walk in search of dancing classes.
