Monday 5th April 1943
Even this hospital is impermanent. The 22nd General is moving within a few days; no one knows where. I had expected to be discharged, but it seems I shall be transferred – with most of the patients in this ward - to a hospital in Palestine.
This afternoon we drew our kit from the stores; tomorrow we go. It is very sad.
An airgraph from home – not from April, but from Pepita: “Dick is on leave in Town. He and Mum met April last week, lunched, tea-ed, and shopped... If this is really serious, Tee, I must get to know her...”
What do you think, Pepita?
