Friday March 17th 1933

A letter from the Prudential and a form (about 70 questions) re the finger. Yards of red tape! Letter from H.F. Seems good. Rambling next Sunday, shall have a virgil in the late evening.

Away from the shop by 8.15. The butter sales must be decreasing, for we are slack much more than before. Strange! I play the fool at work now just as I did a year ago. But until lately I was a solemn as an owl.

Dick received his Scout uniform and was invested tonight. St. Faiths 11th Lincoln troop. Shirt and trousers far too big but still he looks smart.
