Tuesday February 28th 1933
The thaw continued. River in flood – 6ft. 4ins. at the High Bridge and overflowing at Brayford.
Doctor pronounced me fit for work. Personally, I think the finger is not cleared of poison yet. Prudential Agent visited me. Says shop should pay me compensation. No one has paid me anything yet.
A gloomy day – even Scouting failed to cheer me. The end of Stillness I hope: probably the Dawn will be cold and drear at first.
