Well, I was in Cairo – on sick leave – sooner than I expected when the above was written. I did spend some time in a bookshop and bought:- The tale of the siege of Troy. “Guy Mannering” and “Waverley” by Sir Walter Scott. A thriller, “Pursued” A good text book (Sept. 19339) on geography.

So far, I've been unable to get an atlas or a Brooke. (I bought a Brooke late in October)
