Labour exchange as usual, this morning. Change from yesterday! Have done nothing yet today; it is now 4 o’clock.
I must mention “Smiling Through” which has troubled me ever since Miss Yorkshire told the story, near Martin. “Two blue eyes come smiling through.” Such a wistful story! She played the refrain at tea time but I did not know what is was until later. “Two blue eyes come smiling through”, - I cannot get the words out of my head. A talk with Turner at the shop, he has been sacked.
