Sunday 9th April 1933

Awoke for a few minutes at 5 o’clock and the eastern sky was red with dawn. Then – rain.

Packed ready for Sudbrooke and went to Westgate. (Sudbrooke, a coincidence and chance for comparison it will be – in more ways than one!) Akel and Tug there , cleaning. No Sudbrooke, because of the wet. Sweeping, window cleaning etc. until dinner time. Am moping now. No Sudbrooke Park!
