Labour Exchange – nothing. Made friends with the vacancies clerk, who is a Scout Master of the 5th Lincolns and knows Mr. Langham (Akel).

A brisk stroll along the canal in the afternoon. A keen, refreshing west wind. Took an hour and a half.
