Thursday 30th March 1933
Labour Exchange. Drew my “dole”, 4.2d. Only paid 5/- at home this week. Have got 2/2d. left in cash (apart from my 20/- in reserve).
At night, the Westgate Whist Drive, at Boots café. Worked in the cloak-room until play began, then was busy marking score cards. Put Jack Lascelles through his signalling tests during the refreshment interval. An enjoyable evening; bed just after midnight.
