Tuesday March 21st 1933

More painting in the morning, Labour Exchange again; no documents from Leicester, yet.

Lincoln races in the afternoon – held on the common. Opening of the flat season. Quite a crowd there. “Tic – tac” men. Raucous “bookies”. Tipsters. “They’re off!” Took one snap as one lot of horses thundered into the straight. Tomorrow, the Lincolnshire Handicap with the H.F.

Akel said I could have my ASM any time now. “Nothing is done correctly in Lincoln.”
