Six new patients came last night. Thank heavens, they were all British. I took them to the pack store and each man drew his hospital kit and quietly returned to the ward. Foreigners delight in being disorderly, noisy and awkward. Usually, I notice, crazy Britishers like to be left alone and don't like to give undue trouble. They generally hang on to the common decencies too – such as politeness to the Sisters.
