Friday January 27th 1933

To work 7.45. I only pay 12/6 a week at home, which leaves me 11/- The lean days over, I hope.

On butter alone. Nearly overtaken by the shop at tea time but I averted disaster by weighing squares. The bacon scales out of order so the porter and I carried them to Averys. Home 1p.m.

A visit from Scoutmaster Langham of 7th Lincoln Troop. To see him on Sunday. Bed at midnight.
