Heat wave continues! (“We’re having a heat wave, A glorious heat wave…”) Billericay, Upminster and Romford, each gave an order today. I foolishly forgot this was early closing day in Ilford so found myself unable to make the final call – on a shop “prospect”.

Called on the Retallacks instead; had a cup of tea and a long pow-wow. Coming back along the Arterial (double track) road at about 5:30 I opened out and Slinky, with a clear road, hummed along merrily.
