Damn hot in Epping! I felt deuced uncomfortable in my city suit! Epping doesn’t seem too full of enthusiasm for our products, in fact most of the prospects had apparently lost touch with us. I wonder where Mr Burch did make calls? However I might be able to make some headway later, when I’m better known there. One order, from a Coach Painter, given subject to a year-old dispute being settled and a Paripan calendar being delivered.

Made my first betting win today. Put a shilling each way on Foxcub for the Derby and he ran second at about 100-9. About 3/6 for me.
