Artillery activity but otherwise still quiet around here. About half a dozen visits by bombers during the day and so far (11:15p.m.) there have been two since nightfall. Single planes each time.

Every man was issued with a rifle today! An anti-parachutist move, very unusual in an artillery unit.

News: (At least we've taken the initiative) British troops have crossed the Palestine northern frontier and have already advanced far into Syria. Little or no opposition has been encountered so far.
