Summer Shower 1942

"The room was suddenly rich
And the great bay-window was
Spawning snow and pink roses against it
Soundlessly collateral and incompatible:
World is suddener than we fancy it”

“Summer Shower.” A quite new chapter name, with a quite new front-piece. That's a bit of poetry by Lois MacNiece. All I've found of his, yet. I must get some more.

Other things I must find before I return to the desert are: for distribution- tins of coffee and milk, sugar? Milk? cigarettes (mass) matches (mass) tobacco. For me- films for camera, cup, saucer and spoon for dainty desert brews!
