Finished butter 10 a.m. A slack day until tea. Brought the scales from Averys by myself. Staggered along High Street. Had to recommence butter for a time. Cleaning and taking stock.

Left 9 o’clock. I am on more friendly terms with these assistants. Better than Gallowstree Gate.
