Unpleasantly warm; a sudden change. The old trouble has returned – my nose is painful again, after six months of peace. Throbbing steadily, now.

Evening, helping at Staines Library with Ford – a TocH job. Checking the books out. People and books! I enjoyed it. On the way home, although nearly broke, I made two halts for refreshments – one at the new snack bar – coffee, cakes and chocolate – and again at a roadside place between Staines and Egham. Tea, coffee and chocolate.

And my nose still throbs inside, damn it!
