Monday 26th February 1934

Started making gums again at Paripans. An evil northerly wind. The fire nearly went out at digs, after tea. Harvey and I got it blazing between us. Comradely co-operation. Later, I sat and smoked, listening as he managed the air, deftly twisting the wireless set dials.

Fairly early to bed, with a coat and mackintosh over me, beside bedclothes.
