Bus to Langley from Egham (no. 3)
Chased the criminal in Episode One and rioted with the mob in Episode Two.
There was a sort of recruiting station for the League of Airmen. I asked the lady in charge what it was all about. Her dynamic eyes blazed. “Do you realize Britain is seventh in air strength? … The only way to stop an attack on London is – strike first!…” Timidly, I asked what members could do to save the country. Apparently we had joy trips at half price and talked an awful lot about British air supremacy!
After the Epilogue – pre-arranged “spontaneous” cheers for Holly. Cynically amused.
Bus got away quickly. Reached pub 12.30.
