Tuesday 17th April 1934
Ran a gum again, not even supervised as the others were busy stirring in wood oil, “immediately after final 5 gals. Linseed” (I quote from my formula book).
As I strode past Wood Haw in the fresh, clean morning, Peggy happened to be just against the gate and I happened to se her and stop. She suited the spring morning. So young as she is – and I am too. Have decide to give her just as much as she gives me.
A careful and cryptic statement!
