Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd March 1934
General Notes in brief.
By train to Windsor Guest Night, with Ron, (Tuesday). Nearly all strange faces, in a crowded room – pickles and cheese to eat.
TocH meeting (Wednesday) for a spell of community singing. Good. Learnt how to sing, for the first time. The old care taker wanted his half crown, which I could not afford. Withey paid, without troubling me. Friend.
Phoned Mrs Childers re the Pageant and my part (Thursday). Yes, I was a Centurion and though sharing the part, not an understudy. Then I pressed “button B” and got my money back!
Took some kit – mostly rubbish to Richmond Road. My attic bedroom is a jolly one.
