Still raining; still cold. Windscreen wipers now permanently non est.

Horse power tax on cars has made a terrifying rise but it does not take effect until January. Tobacco tax has already been applied however. I have taken a stock of 750 cigarettes and six ounces of tobacco. “Waverly” my favourite baccy will now be 1s 2 1/2d. I may change to “Four Square” which will be 1/-, for economical reasons.
