"ROME CLAIMS FALL OF TOBRUCH” states a not-too conspicuous lead-line in today's “Egyptian Mail”
“Rome claims...”! Of course Tobruch has fallen. It has already been admitted on the radio. Further details later. Grim details, I should imagine. Listening to the conversation around, it strikes me that this sudden collapse of Tobruch has been a greater blow to morale than the fall of Singapore, though the latter was a far more important event.
Where is my Regiment?
