Thursday 4th and Friday 5th May 1933

Wrote to Mr. Gray – no trace. Received membership card from YHA. Two Harrowgate hotels replied – no vacancies.

Friday evening – Westgate. The Troop magazine is asking for a Group motto. I sent them “Fear and be slain”. Took Eddie, Silly,Burley and Granny on Second Class work. They did quite well. Granny giggled during his investiture last Thursday. He is still being teased abut it.

Slept in my YHA sleeping-sheet; ready for the weekend. Quite alright.
