At work, making the “Paripan Cleaner and Polisher”. Did over 300 tins with Jack. Spirit, water, wax and Hudsons soap are the components. Good fun.

Planned to go to the pictures tonight but decided I could not afford it. Stayed at home by an effort of will. I shall have 2/6 farthing left for Sunday, now. 1 o’clock. I am reading in bed. Electric light. Window open. Can hear a motor car passing by – several indeed.
