TocH meeting at Laleham in the house of a member. The walk from Staines with Ford. (His bottom waistcoat button is undone. Bond of fellowship) The Dentist. The Major. They talked about the leadership of boys and Scouting. I wore no badge and so no knowledge of Scouts or any boys was expected of me. Nor could I prove knowledge. Non-entity. Well, I cannot have it both ways – out of the Movement yet reaping it’s pleasures. But am I out? No! I am a Scout – at Lincoln.
